WHITE CHRISTMAS (HOLIDAY INN, 1942)

Today marks the first day of September and it's 115 days before Christmas to be exact. As a reminder for the coming yuletide, today's theme was from the 1942 movie, Holiday Inn. The song White Christmas, one of the famous Christmas carols, was first heard in the said movie. Sung by Bing Crosby and Martha Mears, it became such a huge hit that in 1954, it was made into a holiday movie using the title of the song as the movie's title itself.

WHITE CHRISTMAS
sung by: Bing Crosby & Martha Mears

The sun is shining, the grass is green
The orange and palm trees sway
There's never been such a day
In Beverly Hills, L.A.
But it's December the 24th
And I'm longing to be up North...

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
Where the tree-tops glisten
And children listen
To hear sleighbells in the snow

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
Where the tree-tops glisten
And children listen
To hear sleighbells in the snow

I'm dreaming of a white Christmas
With every Christmas card I write
May your days be merry and bright
And may all your Christmases be white
