HIS EYES (FRIDAY THE 13TH V A NEW BEGINNING, 1985)

In this fifth installment of the endless bloodbath committed by Jason Voorhees, someone has taken over the killings after Tommy Jarvis offed Jason for good. Who is the one responsible? Australian rock band Pseudo Echo sang the apty titled theme, His Eyes.

HIS EYES

sung by: Pseudo Echo

There was a man so cold, no life was in his eyes

He had a look so hard, I’d never seen him smile

I could’ve told you then, you’d heard it all before

And now you’re in suspense, you’ll have to wait for more

In all those mysteries you’re taken by surprise

You never thought to see that look was in his eyes

There’s a man with no life in his eyes

There’s a man with no life in his eyes

I was the only one who chanced it from the start

There was an evil sense, I swallowed to my heart

And as I took the vow a thought had come to mind

There was a winter mist, I dared not look behind

In all those mysteries you’re taken by surprise

You never thought to see that look was in his eyes

There’s a man with no life in his eyes

There’s a man with no life in his eyes

(INSTRUMENTAL)

In all those mysteries you’re taken by surprise

You never thought to see that look was in his eyes

It’s his eyes

It’s his eyes

There’s a man with no life in his eyes

There’s a man with no life in his eyes

There’s a man with no life in his eyes

There’s a man with no life in his eyes

His eyes

His eyes

HOW CAN I LIVE (FREDDY VS. JASON, 2003)

The time has come in 2003 for Elm Street's notorious child killer Freddy Krueger to meet Crystal Lake's unstoppable killing machine Jason Voorhees. It's not only the kids they're after but to each others as well. Who wins? Latino metal band Ill Nino sang the main theme for Freddy Vs. Jason.

HOW CAN I LIVE

sung by: Ill Nino

I am so alike you

In so many ways

I know I’m just a copy

That carries on the stain

But, we make the same mistakes

'Cause, we are one in the same

But, we leave behind the stain

That cannot separate

All that lies in me

All that dies in me

How can I live without you?

All that lies in me

All that dies in me

How can I live without you?

I am your mirror image

I’m all you left behind

You made me what I am

Then who the hell am I?

But, we make the same mistakes

'Cause, we are one in the same

But, we leave behind the stain

That cannot separate

All that lies in me
All that dies in me

How can I live without you?

All that lies in me

All that dies in me

How can I live without you?

We make the same mistakes

We are one in the same

Do you think of me?

Do you dream of me?

I always dream about you

Do you think of me?

Do you dream of me?

I always dream about you

All that lies in me

All that dies in me

How can I live without you?

All that lies in me

All that dies in me

How can I live without you?

DON'T BE AFRAID OF YOUR DREAMS (A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 4 DREAM MASTER, 1988)

Don't Be Afraid Of Your Dreams by '80s group Go West is a fine entry in the series of movie themes from A Nightmare On Elm Street films. In the fourth installment subtitled The Dream Master, the story is about Alice's new found power transferred to her by her friend Kristen in Dream Warriors.

DON’T BE AFRAID OF YOUR DREAMS

sung by: Go West

So many sleepless nights

You lay awake wonderin’

Is something out there waiting for you

There’s so many mountains to climb

And dreams that keep comin’

If you’re gonna make it ya gotta reach down inside

And hear your heart saying, girl

Don’t be afraid of your dreams

They’re never as real as they seem

It’s mind over matter

Whatever it takes

To get what you’re after, girl

Your never gonna break so baby

Don’t be afraid of your dreams

Stand up and be ready to fight

On things that you’re afraid of

Don’t let those spears stand in your way

We all have that special night

When we find what we’re made of

Just close your eyes and think of me then

And you’ll hear me saying, girl

Don’t be afraid of your dreams

They’re never as real as they seem

It’s mind over matter

Whatever it takes

To get what you’re after, girl

You’re never gonna break so baby

Don’t be afraid of your dreams

(GUITAR SOLO)

Don’t be afraid It’s mind over matter

Whatever it takes

To get what you’re after, girl

You’re never gonna break so baby

Don’t be afraid of your dreams

Don’t be afraid of your dreams

There never as real as they seem

So don’t be, don’t be afraid of your dreams, baby

We’ll fight these dreams together

Whatever it takes (don’t be afraid of your dreams)

To get what you’re after girl, you’re never,

never gonna break

Stand by me girl

Don’t be afraid…

DREAM WARRIORS (A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 3 DREAM WARRIORS, 1987)

In the third installment to the successful horror movie series, Freddy Krueger takes on a new set of kids, the last of the Elm Street children. Nightmare's original heroine makes a memorable comeback, Heather Langenkamp as Nancy who helps the kids battle Freddy. German Rock and Roll group Dokken sang the catchy Dream Warriors.

DREAM WARRIORS

sung by: Dokken

I lie awake and dread the lonely nights

I’m not aloneI wonder if these heavy eyes

Can face the unknown

When I close my eyes I realize

You’ll come my way

I’m standing in the night alone

Forever together

We’re the dream warriors

Don’t wanna dream no more

We’re the dream warriors

And maybe tonight

Maybe tonight you’ll be gone

I feel the touch comin’ over me

I can’t explainI hear the voices callin’ out

Callin’ my name

It’s the same desire to feel the fire

That’s comin’ your way

I’m standing in the night alone

Forever together

We’re the dream warriors

Don’t wanna dream no more

We’re the dream warriors

Maybe tonight you’ll be gone

We’re the dream warriors

Ain’t gonna dream no more

And maybe tonight

Maybe tonight you’ll be gone

Sweet revenge, the bitter end

This timeBreak the spell of illusion

Bound together waiting for you

Dream warriors

Don’t wanna dream no more

We’re the dream warriors

Maybe tonight you’ll be gone

We’re the dream warriors

Ain’t gonna dream no more

We’re the dream warriors

And maybe tonight

Maybe tonight you’ll be gone

Dream warriors

Maybe tonight you’ll be gone

Dream warriors, forever

Dream warriors

Maybe tonight you’ll be gone

Dream warriors

ANOTHER SIDE OF ME (THE LEGACY, 1978)

One of those rare occasions when a horror/mystery has a very sweet movie theme. The Legacy's title track Another Side Of Me was sang by Kiki Dee and was heard during the opening credits. The film is about a cursed inheritance that befell the two couple among others.

ANOTHER SIDE OF ME
sung by: Kiki Dee

I’m going back
Across the sky
To places I have never been
But something seems to be
Slowly drawing me away
And that’s what come what may

I’m going back
To faces I have never seen
To feel the freedom
Of a sweet clear winter’s golden day
The sunset stained with gold

A love that never grows cold
While you’re the hand that I hold
I’ll face my years to be

And we may find
That as the story is told
We’ll watch the future unfold
Another side of me

I’m going back
Unless I’m sure
I need you more than ever now

And through the distance
We’ll see things in another light
If we just raise our sights

And looking back
We’ll understand it all somehow
Today, forever and beyond
Together we will see
Another side of me
