Olivia Newton-John and musical legend Gene Kelly star in a somewhat surreal musical, Xanadu. Gene Kelly is Danny McGuire, an older gentleman who sits on a rock by the ocean playing a clarinet who then sets a club with Sonny Malone (Michael Beck), who ‘discovers’ Kira (Olivia Newton-John) through a painting, a sort of modern day Greek muse. Suddenly is one of Newton-John’s best remembered duets post Grease. Catchy and addictive.
