HOPELESSLY DEVOTED TO YOU (GREASE, 1978)

"It doesn't matter if you win or lose, it's what you do with your dancin' shoes." - Vince

One of the most popular musical in the '70's is Grease. Indeed, 'it' is the word at that time. John Travolta made waves in Saturday Night Fever and in Grease, he still is a force to reckon with. Alongside him is the equally talented singer and actress Olivia Newton-John. While the film brims with chart-topping songs, Olivia manages to sing a bittersweet theme between Danny (Travolta) and Sandy (Newton-John). This is one of her signature songs and was nominated for best original song at the Oscars.

HOPELESSLY DEVOTED TO YOU
sung by: Olivia Newton-John

Guess mine is not the first heart broken
My eyes are not the first to cry
I'm not the first to know there's
Just no getting over you

You know I'm just a fool who's willing
To sit around and wait for you
But baby can't you see there's nothing left for me to do
I'm hopelessly devoted to you

But now there's no way to hide
Since you pushed my heart aside
I'm outta my head hopelessly devoted to you
Hopelessly devoted to you
Hopelessly devoted to you

My head is saying fool forget him
My heart is saying don't let go
Hold on to the end, that's what I intend to do
I'm hopelessly devoted to you

But now there's no way to hide
Since you pushed my heart aside
I'm outta my head hopelessly devoted to you
Hopelessly devoted to you
Hopelessly devoted to you
