Jeepers Creepers is one of Louis Armstrong's famous songs and was used in the 1938 musical comedy Going Places. The film stars Dick Powell and Ronald Reagan. The song has stood the test of time in fact, in 2001, the horror film Jeepers Creepers also used the song as its 'unofficial' theme sang by Paul Whiteman and his Swing Wing.
JEEPERS CREEPERS
sung by: Louis Armstrong
Jeepers, creepers....where’d ya get them peepers
Jeepers, creepers...where’d ya get those eyes
Gosh oh, git up....how’d they get so lit up
Gosh oh, gee oh....how’d they get that size
Golly gee...When you turn them heaters on
Woe is me...got to put my cheaters on
Jeepers, creepers....where’d ya get them peepers
Oh, those weepers....how they hypnotize
(INSTRUMENTAL)
Jeepers, creepers....where’d ya get them peepers
Oh, those weepers....how they hypnotize
Where did ya get those
Golly where’d ya get those
Where did ya get them there eyes…
There are more lyrics...but I don't know if they were sung in this movie (or any other for that matter!)
ReplyDeleteI don't care when the weather man says it's raining,
You'll never hear me complaining,
I'm certain the sun will shine,
I don't care how the weather vane points,
When the weather vane points to gloomy,
It's gotta be sunny to me,
When your eyes look into mine;
Jeepers creepers, etc...
Hi! I don't quite remember too if this were heard too, nevertheless thanks for the info and added lyrics!
