ONE THING LEADS TO ANOTHER (SKY HIGH, 2005)

Sky High may be deemed the live version of Disney-Pixar's hugely succesful The Incredibles. But one cannot compare with the other. Sky High soars as one of the most entertaining family adventure made in the cannon of Disney. It's funny, exciting and most of all, has a lesson to share, superhero or not. One of the songs heard during the party scene was One Thing Leads To Another by Steven Strait. Cool and catchy.

ONE THING LEADS TO ANOTHER
sung by: Steven Strait

My deception with tact
Just what are you trying to say
You’ve got a blank face which irritates
Communicate pull out your party piece
You see dimensions in two
State your case in black or white
And when one little bump
Leads to shock miss a beat
You run for cover so discreet

Why don’t they do what they say
Say what you mean
One thing leads to another
You told me something’s wrong
I know I listen too long but than
One thing leads to another

The impression that you sell
Passes in and out like a scent
But the long face that you see
Comes from living close to your fears
If this is up, than I’m up
Are you running out of sight

You see your name up in lights
And when one little bump
Leads to shock miss a beat
You run for cover in this heat

Why don’t they do what they say
Say what you mean
One thing leads to another
You told me something’s wrong
You know I listen too long but than
One thing leads to another yeah, yeah, yeah
(One thing, one thing…leads to another...)

And it’s easy to believe
That somebody’s been lying to me
But when the wrong word
Goes in the right ear
I know you’ve been lying to me
It’s getting rough, off the cuff
I’ve got to say enough’s enough
Bigger the harder he falls
But when the wrong antidote
Like a bulge on the throat
You run for cover in the heat

Why don’t they do what they say
Say what you mean
One thing leads to another
You told me something’s wrong
You know I listen too long but than
One thing leads to another yeah, yeah, yeah
(One thing, one thing…leads to another...)
