BLUE MOON (AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON, 1981)

"Have you tried talking to a corpse? It's boring." - Jack Goodman

Bobby Vinton's signature song Blue Moon has been used to great effect in the semi-horror/semi-comedy An American Werewolf In London. The story of two doomed american tourists (David Naughton & Griffin Dunne) who got more than they bargained for in the english moors. The aptly theme has been covered by numerous artists with different arrangement. One of which is the upbeat version done by The Marcels also heard in the film.

BLUE MOON
sung by: Bobby Vinton

Blue Moon
You saw me standing alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own

Blue Moon
You know just what I was there for
You heard me saying a prayer for
Someone I really could care for

And then there suddenly appeared before me
The only one my arms will hold
I heard somebody whisper please adore me
And when I looked to the Moon it turned to gold

Blue Moon
Now I’m no longer alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own

And then there suddenly appeared before me
The only one my arms will ever hold
I heard somebody whisper please adore me
And when I looked the moon had turned to gold

Blue moon
Now I’m no longer alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own

Blue moon
Now I’m no longer alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own
