"Because I'll die the next time. I know I will. I came so close to it the other times. After Dick, I went into pills. After my father it was worse. I stopped wanting to teach. I didn't even paint. You have no idea how hard it was to want to come back. To find something... anything... that mattered to come back to. I love you, but I can't have you. I can't have anybody." - Jill Kinmont
When summer smiles
Perhaps one of the saddest yet beautiful song was the theme from the 1978 movie, The Other Side Of The Mountain Part 2, It's Time To Say I Love You. Sung by Merrily Webber, the song speaks of timeless longing to tell someone he is loved. Based on the true story of the 18 year old skier who lost her will to survive at first but later gathered enough strength to pull through despite the odds. The second part of the story has Jill and her Mom rent a summer house and Jill met John Boothe, a handsome truck driver. The theme has been a staple in late-night radio listening. Soothing.
IT'S TIME TO SAY I LOVE YOU
sung by: Merrily Webber
When you know that love is right
You gather dream bouquets
And one or two will drift along with you
Through all your colored days
And time is warm and meadows sweet
Like sunlight through the trees
The clouds go by
Just howlin’s in the sky
On whispered days like these
When summer smiles
On everything with do
It’s time to say I love you
(INSTRUMENTAL)
The clouds go by
Just howlin’s in the sky
On whispered days like these
When summer smiles
On everything with you
It’s time to say I love you
one of my all-time favorites!
